The role of Casino Cleaner I at Caesars Entertainment in Pompano Beach, FL, is pivotal to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall guest satisfaction within the casino environment. This position is an on-site role that plays a significant part in ensuring that the casino floor and related areas are pristine and welcoming for visitors. The primary responsibility is to clean and maintain slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, elevators, and other front and back of house areas. Additionally, the Casino Cleaner is entrusted with cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking restrooms, as well as managing trash disposal both inside the casino and at outside dumpsters.
Candidates for this position must demonstrate exceptional guest service skills, including interacting cheerfully and positively with high volumes of customers to establish a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visitation. This role demands a commitment to safety and operational standards, requiring the safe use of industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions. The Casino Cleaner I is expected to communicate professionally, responding promptly to calls and participating in routine safety drills, embodying the company’s ethos of family-style service. Job Requirements
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain and maintain 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo Employee Occupational License
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work in environments with bright lights, noise, smoke, and varied temperatures
- Complete background check and pre-employment screenings as required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Ability to understand and adhere to safety and operational policies
- Good communication skills
- Physical capability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and use hands effectively
- Willingness to perform duties as assigned and maintain a clean work area
- Must follow company policies and cooperate with team members.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment and quality standards
- Skills in active listening, effective communication, assessing performance for improvements, and understanding customer reactions
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Capability of safe operation of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and climbing ladders occasionally
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo Employee Occupational License.
Job Duties
- Deal with high-volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful
- Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back
- Provide superior guest service, positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and handle difficult guests courteously
- Clean all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators in front and back of house areas
- Vacuum all floors and clean, disinfect, and restock all restrooms in front and back of house areas
- Mop floors around bars, restrooms, and entrances
- Remove all trash and debris from machines and floors and empty trash in outside dumpsters
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely according to manufacturer instructions
- Answer calls promptly and professionally
- Participate in routine drills
- Have knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities and assist as needed
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies ethically
- Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, seeking to maintain positive guest relationships
- Assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of items left on the floor
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Ensure operating principles of being clean, safe, friendly, and fun are adhered to
- Use cleaning tools and technologies like two-way radios, vacuum cleaners, industrial sweepers, trash compactors, and cleaning chemicals.
