Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail or cashier experience preferred
- basic math skills for transaction processing
- ability to handle cash accurately
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- capability to perform product demonstrations
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to maintain store cleanliness and organization
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- previous supervising or leadership experience in retail or grocery settings is a plus
- ability to perform product demos confidently and effectively promote items to customers
- bilingual skills to serve a diverse customer base are highly valued
- strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
- experience in upselling and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
- knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- ability to stock shelves efficiently and manage store displays in a fast-paced environment
- familiarity with grocery store operations and retail sales processes
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
- manage cash handling procedures with precision, ensuring balanced registers at shift end
- assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and inviting
- conduct basic retail math for transactions, pricing adjustments, and inventory counts
- maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
