The position of Cashier/Receptionist at Reliable Cars is a vital role designed for a friendly and enthusiastic individual with a passion for creating positive customer experiences. This full-time role involves being the primary point of contact for customers and callers, managing front desk operations with professionalism and warmth. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering incoming calls, identifying the caller's needs, and directing them appropriately within the dealership environment. Additionally, the role includes greeting prospects and customers as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcomed and promptly connected to the right department or sales personnel.

Beyond excellent customer service, this position entails handling foundational accounting tasks and routine financial transactions, requiring a basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures. The Cashier/Receptionist will contribute to the smooth operation of the dealership by typing correspondence, assisting with scheduling and confirming sales appointments, and collaborating closely with sales and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic accounting knowledge or experience
  • Previous customer service or receptionist experience preferred
  • Proficiency in phone systems and standard office software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to work the scheduled hours including potential Saturdays
  • Positive attitude and strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Answer dealership group phones, greet and receive prospects and customers
  • Direct customers to the correct department, notify the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduce the customer to the salesperson
  • Work cooperatively with the sales and other internal teams
  • Communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Assist in scheduling and confirming sales appointments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
