Job Requirements

Prior front of house and cashier experience preferred
Ability to work full-time schedule including Monday through Friday and some weekends
Reliable transportation to the Slifka location in New Haven, CT
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
Ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Ability to operate POS and other related equipment
Must be able to work varied afternoon shifts as scheduled

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior front of house and cashier experience preferred
Ability to operate POS systems accurately
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Willingness to work afternoon shifts including some weekends

Job Duties

Operates Point of Sale system to perform cashier duties
Assists chef with preparing meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts
Performs general cleaning duties including removing trash
Provides service in all retail areas including cashiering and line serving
Maintains cash accuracy and completes deposits at end of shifts
Inventories and restocks supplies and food products
Monitors and records food temperatures
Sets up and stocks food items according to safety and quality standards
Performs other duties as assigned
