Job Requirements
- Prior cashiering and food handling experience preferred
- Ability to operate Point of Sale system
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for food service and cleaning
- Available to work part-time Monday through Friday with schedule varying
- Ability to follow school district calendar
- Ability to maintain cash accuracy
- Must be able to work in East Providence, RI location
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior cashiering experience preferred
- Prior food handling experience preferred
- Ability to operate POS system
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to perform general cleaning tasks
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Dependability and punctuality
Job Duties
- Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts
- Help prepare catering orders
- Perform cashier duties using the POS system
- Perform general cleaning duties including removing trash and garbage to designated areas
- Provide service in all retail areas including cashiering and line serving
- Cashier according to established procedures maintaining cash accuracy with receipts and making deposits at the end of each shift
- Inventory and restock supplies and food products
- Set up serving line ensuring temperatures are taken, recorded and within acceptable ranges notifying cooks if food temperatures are not within acceptable limits
- Serve hot and cold items to customers
- Set up items for purchase on daily basis
- Keep refrigerator stocked and product rotated using the first in, first out rule
- Stock pantries with correct par levels of food items daily and record replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on floor stock form
- Perform other duties as assigned
