Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous cashier and food service experience
Ability to speak, read and understand English
Ability to follow verbal instructions
Ability to work well within a team environment
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Willingness to travel between hospital locations
Reliable and punctual
Physical ability to perform dishroom and food service tasks
Availability to work full-time 40 hours per week (5x8 hour shifts)

Job Qualifications

Previous cashier and food service experience
Ability to speak, read and follow verbal directions in English
Ability to work well with others and perform a variety of tasks under supervision
Ability to perform simple calculations by hand or with a calculator
Knowledge of food production and service
Ability to delegate duties and maintain efficient standards of operation
Effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control
Ability to follow instructions
Availability to work a 40-hour week (5x8 hours shifts)

Job Duties

Display and practice a work-style reflecting the mission, vision and values of the department and hospital and project professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct
Participate in the continuous quality improvement process by completing Quality Control forms and preventive maintenance logs
Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures
Travel between various hospital locations and affiliates as required
Perform tasks such as general clean-up, dishwashing, trayline, transporting food to service areas, and trash removal
Follow instructions to maintain high standards of service and quality
Prevent waste by following established standards for chemical use and notify supervisor of observed abuse
