Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cashier and food service experience
- Ability to speak, read and understand English
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Willingness to travel between hospital locations
- Reliable and punctual
- Physical ability to perform dishroom and food service tasks
- Availability to work full-time 40 hours per week (5x8 hour shifts)
Job Qualifications
- Previous cashier and food service experience
- Ability to speak, read and follow verbal directions in English
- Ability to work well with others and perform a variety of tasks under supervision
- Ability to perform simple calculations by hand or with a calculator
- Knowledge of food production and service
- Ability to delegate duties and maintain efficient standards of operation
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control
- Ability to follow instructions
- Availability to work a 40-hour week (5x8 hours shifts)
Job Duties
- Display and practice a work-style reflecting the mission, vision and values of the department and hospital and project professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct
- Participate in the continuous quality improvement process by completing Quality Control forms and preventive maintenance logs
- Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures
- Travel between various hospital locations and affiliates as required
- Perform tasks such as general clean-up, dishwashing, trayline, transporting food to service areas, and trash removal
- Follow instructions to maintain high standards of service and quality
- Prevent waste by following established standards for chemical use and notify supervisor of observed abuse
