Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent certification
- Two years of cashiering and/or customer service experience
- Valid Florida driver’s license or valid out-of-state license with the ability to obtain Florida license within 30 days
- Ability to perform prolonged periods of sitting, occasional standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 10 lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing
- Ability to operate office and transactional equipment
- Good judgment when dealing with customers and resolving issues
- Knowledge of computer input
- Ability to receive and understand written and verbal instructions
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent certification
- Two years of cashiering and/or customer service experience
- Valid Florida driver’s license or willingness to obtain one within 30 days
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, orally and in writing
- Good phone and customer relation skills
- Ability to operate relevant office equipment and recreation management software
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with leadership, supervisors, residents, customers, and employees
- Knowledge of city service area
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers in-person, over the phone, and via email in a courteous and professional manner
- Process payments for facility rentals, program registrations, memberships, events, and other Parks and Recreation services
- Accurately handle cash, credit card, and check transactions
- issue receipts and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding recreational programs, facility availability, schedules, and policies
- Input and update customer data, reservations, and transactions using recreation management software
- Process registrations and cancellations
- explain refund and cancellation policies as needed
- Maintain an organized front desk or service counter area and ensure public-facing materials are stocked and current
- Assist with preparing and distributing printed materials, forms, and schedules related to programs and events
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the Parks and Recreation Department
