Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately
Basic knowledge of cash register operation
Good communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Ability to stand for extended periods
Customer service orientation
Must comply with all sanitation and safety standards

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle cash accurately
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
Customer-focused attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player mentality

Job Duties

Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion
Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other forms of payment
Issues receipts to customers
Follows standard procedures for issuing refunds
Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
Observes customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions
Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
Keeps pastry case stocked
Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
Performs other duties as assigned
