The role of Cashier at the Woodland Park Zoo location offers a unique opportunity to join Levy’s dynamic team. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service while performing cashiering duties efficiently in a high-volume environment. You will be responsible for handling sales transactions, accurately recording purchases, processing various forms of payment including decline balance cards, and issuing refunds as necessary. Beyond the cash register, the role includes maintaining sanitation standards within the preparation, service, and dining facilities. You will also ensure the cleanliness of service areas, restock supplies like condiments and beverages, and monitor inventory and cash control procedures.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately
- Basic knowledge of cash register operation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods

- Must comply with all sanitation and safety standards

Job Duties
- Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion
- Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
- Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other forms of payment
- Issues receipts to customers
- Follows standard procedures for issuing refunds
- Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Observes customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions
- Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
- Keeps pastry case stocked
- Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
