Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education or equivalent
  • Up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination
  • Availability to work special shifts including 2nd, 3rd shifts, or weekends if required
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license if required to drive company vehicle
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to respond to customer issues
  • Ability to sit, use hands, and occasionally walk
  • Close vision capability

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Job Duties

  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform
  • Count "bank" of revenue at beginning of shift to ensure starting total is correct
  • Collect cash and/or validations and maintain security of cash
  • Make change and issue receipts or tickets to customer for each transaction
  • Compute or re-compute bill from ticket showing amount due per customer
  • Operate cash register after time calculation, calculate cost or transaction and display cost on register
  • Quote prices for parking services when money is received
  • Give directions to customers
  • Complete lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with help of supervisor
  • Answer telephone promptly and courteously
  • Maintain cleanliness of booth and surrounding area
  • Conduct inventory checks of work aids and supplies
  • Verify log of shift transactions against bank of revenue
  • Compile collected revenue throughout the day
  • Record amounts received, cars in/out, and prepare shift report
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
