The City of Lewisville is proud to operate Thrive, an innovative 87,000 square foot multigenerational recreation center designed to serve the needs of our diverse community. This facility includes an indoor natatorium, gymnasium, indoor walking track, an expanded fitness area, community rooms, and an indoor playground for children. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of cashiering experience
- Ability to be punctual and maintain regular attendance
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass pre-employment criminal background and drug test
- Must demonstrate consistent financial responsibility
- Must have acceptable credit history
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
- Preference may be given to bilingual applicants
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of cashiering experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Skill in using personal computers including Microsoft Office, email, and internet
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to accurately process and record payment transactions
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
Job Duties
- Receive and process payments from guests for services including mail, phone, and in-person transactions
- Make changes to reservations, classes, and memberships
- Issue receipts to guests
- Balance cash drawer and prepare associated finance reports and deposits
- Assist guests by providing information about the facility, parks and recreation programs, and city services
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety practices
- Communicate effectively with guests in person and by phone
