The position available is for a Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member who plays a crucial role in providing courteous and efficient service at Whole Foods Market. This entry-level role involves assisting customers during the checkout process, including handling cash register functions, bagging groceries, and managing the customer service desk. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use involving single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- able to perform bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- ability to work in various temperatures including freezing, refrigeration, and high heat
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register
- follows all cash handling procedures
- may assist with training of new cashier and cashier assistant team members
- assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines
- proactively participates in company programs as directed by leadership
- arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products
- follows and complies with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties
- reports safety hazards and violations immediately
- performs other duties as assigned by leadership
- completes shopper training and tasks as needed
