Job Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk regularly
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, jumping, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing
- Ability to understand and apply store policies
- Physical and visual ability to perform job duties
- Willingness to assist in various tasks as needed
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- Basic customer service skills
- Ability to operate POS software
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays
- Ability to safely perform merchandising tasks at heights no greater than ten feet
- Knowledge of basic store policies and security practices
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Commitment to upholding company code of ethics
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and answer their questions regarding the store and merchandise
- Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods such as the day of and after Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Complete guest transactions by operating the Point of Sale (POS) software and bagging purchases
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, payment and exchange policies, and security practices
- Monitor and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations
- Assist the Operations Manager and Visual Merchandiser in performing merchandising tasks such as preparing displays, organizing fixtures and shelving, completing price markdowns, and transfers
- Consistently maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment
- Understand and apply Buckle's Code of Ethics and all related policies, procedures, and handbooks
- Perform job duties with a high level of guest service while contributing to a positive team spirit
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
