Job Description
PreFlight Airport Parking is one of the largest near airport parking providers in the United States with operations at five of the country's largest airports. As a company, PreFlight is recognized for offering expedited transportation services to and from airport terminals, providing customers with a reliable, smart alternative to traditional airport parking options. Owned entirely by InterPark, a leader in parking management, PreFlight Airport Parking combines experience, strategic locations, and customer-centric services to ensure travelers enjoy a hassle-free parking experience. The company prides itself on safety, efficiency, and outstanding customer service, which are central to its daily operations and corporate philosophy.
The role of a Cashier at PreFlight Airport Parking is integral to the overall customer experience at our off-airport based parking operations. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and operational accuracy. Cashiers serve as the primary point of contact for customers using the parking facility, responsible for processing parking fees accurately and efficiently, managing revenue control systems, and completing daily cashier reports that ensure all transactions and revenue streams are accurately accounted for. This role may also include dispatcher duties, requiring effective communication with both customers and team members to manage parking and facility logistics.
Cashiers at PreFlight Airport Parking are expected to uphold the highest standards of service. Their duties include handling cash transactions with precision, balancing the cashier drawer at the start and end of each shift, and maintaining operational supplies. In addition to transactional duties, cashiers are responsible for monitoring facility security through intercoms and surveillance systems, further contributing to the safety and smooth functioning of the parking operations. The position occasionally requires light garage maintenance and valet operating tasks to maintain a clean and orderly facility. Because the role also involves direct interaction with customers, effective communication skills are crucial to explaining fees, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive parking experience.
PreFlight Airport Parking offers competitive compensation starting at $16.80 per hour, with an additional $3 per hour for overnight shifts. Candidates must be willing to work one of the designated schedules, including early morning and overnight shifts, reflecting the company's commitment to 24/7 customer service. Safety, accuracy, and professionalism are key, and there is an emphasis on the ability to work in various physical environments, including booths, small offices, and outdoor positions exposed to weather elements.
In summary, the Cashier position at PreFlight Airport Parking is suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong math and customer service skills, and can multitask effectively. This role provides an excellent gateway to gain extensive experience in the parking and transportation industry, backed by a reputable and expanding company dedicated to convenience and security for airport travelers.
