Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience
- ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- availability for varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong customer service skills including eye contact, smile, and genuine thank you
- ability to meet Scheels dress and grooming expectations
- punctuality and arriving 10 minutes early to work and meetings
- willingness to assist in all other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred
- strong communication skills
- attention to detail and problem solving abilities
- ability to work assigned schedules including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong oral, written communication and reading skills
- ability to perform basic math

- ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
Job Duties
- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
- accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- maintain a clean working environment and personal work space
- engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each and every transaction
- end each transaction by saying thank you to every customer
- maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
