Located at 6624 San Pablo Avenue in Oakland, California, this opportunity is for a Retail Sales Associate position within one of Goodwill's local stores. This full-time role offers a pay starting at $17.34 per hour and is essential for maintaining an excellent customer and brand experience. The Retail Sales Associate will be an integral member of the store team, responsible for leading in-store customer service and supporting the store's sales objectives.

The role involves operating the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions, including accepting various payment methods and encouraging customers to donate cash at checkout to support Goodwill's community programs. The associate will also be tasked with establishing or verifying prices on merchandise by evaluating the type or identifying markings, or consulting with an on-site leader for assistance. Maintaining store cleanliness and safety is a crucial part of the role, alongside conducting routine stocking of merchandise and adhering to established sales floor standards through careful floorwork and the Picture Process Map (PPM).

In addition to direct customer interaction by greeting customers and thanking them upon departure, the Retail Sales Associate contributes to the overall store environment by making scheduled announcements using store communication systems, ensuring a welcoming and organized shopping experience.
