As a Cashier, also recognized internally as a Front End Team Member, you will play a critical role in enhancing our customers’ shopping journeys by providing fast, friendly, and accurate service. This position can be part-time or full-time, with duties primarily centered on cashier responsibilities, but you may also be tasked with roles such as sales assistance or merchandiser/stock associate. Reporting directly to the store management team, you will be at the frontline of our customer interactions, responsible for processing transactions efficiently and accurately, including verifying identification when necessary, handling different forms of payment, and promoting our loyalty programs. Beyond transaction processing, you will deliver personalized and professional customer service by greeting guests warmly, engaging with them to build lasting relationships, and informing them about our product offerings and ongoing promotions.
Your role will also include participating in specialized training, particularly focused on our wine, spirits, and beer selections to deepen your product knowledge, thereby enhancing your ability to advise and assist customers confidently. Maintaining up-to-date awareness of all advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs is essential to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction. Furthermore, you will help uphold store cleanliness and safety standards to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors and colleagues. Compliance with legal regulations related to the sale of alcohol is a critical aspect of this role, requiring strict adherence to policies designed to maintain a safe and compliant store environment. You will also be expected to embrace a flexible work schedule that meets business demands, including shifts during evenings and weekends.
This position demands physical stamina and the ability to comply with safety requirements; team members must be at least 21 years old, capable of standing for extended periods, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Exposure to various weather conditions might occur during the course of your workday. Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to walk bend down repeatedly and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs overhead and repeatedly
- May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of work experience with 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
