Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in customer service or restaurant environment beneficial
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is a plus
- friendly and approachable personality
- reliable and punctual
- ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
Job Duties
- Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and offer a sincere, personal invitation to return as guests leave
- offer assistance to any guests who may need help
- process GC On the Go to-go orders
- be friendly and courteous on the phone
- handle payments accurately
- know and follow position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery
- know the buffet offerings, menu, and prices for the day
- maintain organization and cleanliness at the vestibule, host/cashier station and surrounding areas
- help ensure the buffet is set up properly, labels are correct, and clean all buffets and surrounding areas
- follow local health department laws
- perform duty roster ensuring cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met
- inform the manager when the money in the drawer needs to be taken to the safe
- ensure drawer balances with daily paperwork
