As a team member at SCHEELS, you will be the face of the brand, greeting customers warmly upon arrival and departure to create a welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for promoting and explaining the benefits of the SCHEELS Visa Rewards card clearly and accurately, facilitating seamless transactions while maintaining accurate cash drawer balances. Effective communication is crucial in this role. You will engage customers in meaningful conversations to provide a personalized shopping experience, consistently showing appreciation by thanking each customer at the conclusion of their visit. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-3 months of cashiering experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Demonstrates strong organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
  • Basic math skills including computing rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence

Job Duties

  • Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
  • Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefits
  • Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
  • Maintain a clean working environment and personal work space
  • Engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each and every transaction
  • End each transaction by saying thank you to every customer
  • Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
  • Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
