Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three months experience in food and beverage or related field
  • Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certificate
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three months experience in food and beverage or related field
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certificate
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of menu items and guest service

Job Duties

  • Greets guests on arrival and regards on departure in a warm and inviting manner
  • Checks cashier supplies such as register tape and settlement sheets and brown upon arrival to ensure there is enough for the shift
  • Prepares and sells all food items on the menu and handles all monetary transactions such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and comps from guests as payment
  • Ensures accuracy in computing bill on cash register
  • makes correct change and issues receipt
  • Closes register at end of each shift to include counting down drawer and completing necessary paperwork
  • Returns cash to the main bank, leaves a copy of shift checkout in the Restaurant Mailbox
  • Cleans and sanitizes food service equipment used to prepare and serve menu items
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of daily menus and prices
  • Conducts opening and closing inventories
  • Interacts with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide opportunities for loyalty
  • Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of workstation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
