Job Requirements

  • Prefer completion of high school or equivalent
  • Basic literacy and numerical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret merchandising schematics and instructions
  • Ability to follow policy, procedural, and training manuals
  • Prefer some experience working with people or public
  • Prefer retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments experience
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 55 lbs
  • Adequate fitness for frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner
  • Handles situations with the best interest of both the customer and company in mind
  • Maintains positive company image to customers and community
  • Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system
  • Stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store under direction of the Store Manager
  • Assists in unloading merchandise from delivery truck and organizes merchandise
  • Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers
  • Assists Store Manager in loss prevention by being aware of customers and providing excellent customer service
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
