Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment is committed to creating joyful and lasting memories for families through fun, food, and play. The company's mission centers around being the best place where kids and families can eat and play, celebrating over half a million birthdays annually with a focus on safety, inclusivity, and community support. Notably, Chuck E. The company culture at CEC Entertainment fosters diversity, inclusion, and a passion for play. CEC's programs, including Kid Check® for safety and community donations exceeding $24 million, further emphasize their dedication to family and social responsibility. Whether through the neighborhood pizzeria experience of Peter Piper Pizza or the entertainment-rich environment of Chuck E. Cheese, the brand unites families and communities, championing physical wellness and motor skills development in children through various attractions.
The role of Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese offers an exceptional opportunity for first-time job seekers and those looking to build a rewarding career in the hospitality and entertainment industry. Cashiers serve as the frontline of guest service, responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and ensuring a welcoming environment for every guest. This position is hourly, with competitive pay ranging from $15.00 to $16.50 per hour, plus commission potential based on sales of Memberships and Fun Passes, providing an excellent chance for earnings growth.
Chuck E. Cheese’s "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program is a unique benefit that allows employees to access their earned wages without waiting for the traditional paycheck cycle, highlighting the company’s commitment to employee financial wellness. The work environment is dynamic and energetic, requiring physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, kneeling, reaching, and interacting positively with guests and team members amidst vibrant lights, sounds, and mechanical features.
Working as a Cashier at Chuck E. Cheese involves much more than typical retail duties; it is a role embedded in an atmosphere of fun and excitement, where employees are empowered through cross-training to develop skills in a variety of positions. Over 60 percent of managers are promoted from within, demonstrating the company’s focus on career development and internal growth. Employees enjoy flexible schedules, meal discounts, scholarships, perks and discounts, and a supportive employee referral program. The CEC Cares Fund also exists to assist employees during difficult times, reinforcing the company’s supportive culture.
At CEC Entertainment, diversity and equal opportunity are core values. The company does not discriminate based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected class. They strive to create an inclusive workplace that reflects the diverse guests they serve, fostering an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute to the company’s vision of providing the best place for kids and families to eat and play.
