Headquartered in Irving, Texas, CEC Entertainment is nationally recognized for creating joyful, lasting memories for families through a unique combination of great food, fun, and safe environments. Chuck E. Cheese alone celebrates over half a million birthdays annually, emphasizing its commitment to family and community engagement. The company also places a strong focus on safety and health, implementing rigorous health and sanitation standards to protect both guests and employees. They have demonstrated corporate responsibility through donations exceeding $24 million to schools and nonprofits, reinforcing their dedication to community support. Moreover, Chuck E. Cheese received the "Best in STEM" award in 2025 and was recognized as one of America's Greatest Workplaces, which highlights its leadership in innovation and employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations along with over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spread across 45 states and 18 countries, fostering a vibrant culture of inclusion and diversity. Their mission to be the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid" resonates in every aspect of their operations, making the company a sought-after employer for those wanting to build careers in a fun, family-oriented environment. The company's emphasis on employee growth is evident with over 60 percent of their managers promoted from within, offering numerous opportunities for career advancement and skill development.
Currently, CEC Entertainment is hiring Cashiers who will serve as the frontline of guest service. Cashiers play an essential role by taking orders, processing payments, assisting guests with prizes, and contributing to an engaging guest experience. This position is ideal for first-time job seekers or those looking to grow their careers in the hospitality and entertainment industry, providing valuable cross-training across various positions within the venue.
The compensation structure includes commission potentials that vary based on employment status: Exempt employees can earn commissions from $0.50 to $10.00 per membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 per Fun Pass sold, while Non-Exempt employees can earn between $2.00 and $8.00 for memberships and $0.60 to $2.40 for Fun Pass sales. These commissions are paid bi-weekly, unless otherwise required by state law. Additionally, Chuck E. Cheese offers a "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program allowing employees to access earned wages without waiting for the standard pay cycle.
Benefits are robust and include competitive pay, a 50 percent discount on meals during shifts, flexible scheduling, scholarships, access to perks and discounts programs, an employee referral program, and the CEC Cares Fund designed to assist employees during catastrophes. The company also provides medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan to eligible U.S. employees.
The work environment requires cashiers to handle a variety of physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting throughout their shifts. The role demands excellent customer service skills, an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and the ability to interact effectively with guests and co-workers in an environment that features flashing lights, mechanical parts, and loud noises. Importantly, CEC Entertainment is committed to making reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, CEC Entertainment values diversity and inclusion deeply, ensuring no discrimination based on a wide range of protected classes including race, ancestry, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, veteran status, and more. The company’s inclusive culture is designed to reflect and celebrate the diversity of the communities and families they serve, making it a welcoming and fulfilling place to work for people of all backgrounds.
