Job Requirements
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of assigned restaurant throughout entire shift
- must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash transactions
- must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke
- must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
- must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required
- 1-year experience in customer service
- prior experience as a cashier required, preferably in the hospitality industry
- must possess basic math skills
- must be able to count cash drawer accurately
- must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
- must present a well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Conduct assigned duties according to procedures
- greet guests quickly and courteously and fill guests' food and beverage orders
- help service guests as necessary in a team aspect
- itemize totals and present guests with the price for payment
- operate cash register and properly settle checks
- enter guests' checks in cash register, take money from customer and accurately give back change
- be responsible for accurate control of cash drawer
- understand variance policy of cash drawer and maintain low variance
- know how to ring up all transactions and all tenders
- assist the service attendants, counter attendants, culinary areas when needed
- record all tips collected from credit cards and comps
- handle and solve any concerns and questions from customers
- keep all guest areas clean and neat
- comply with all appearance standards
- act as a role model to other employees and always present oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourage others to do the same
- meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies
