Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior cooking or food prep experience preferred
  • ability to work 4 to 5 shifts per week from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capacity to handle physical demands of kitchen work
  • good hygiene practices
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food preparation or kitchen work advantageous
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • good communication skills
  • teamwork oriented
  • punctual and reliable
  • ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes to make side dishes
  • sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for prep
  • weigh and measure ingredients
  • mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice vegetables
  • perform basic cooking functions such as baking corn bread and preparing sauces
  • label stock and inventory all ingredients
  • transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • slice proteins
  • ensure portion control
  • use timers and cook on a flat top grill
