Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment to increase customer confidence and loyalty
- Listen and escalate customer concerns to management
- Stock front end products and manage supply usage
- Manage checkout lane according to service standards
- Train new cashiers
- Use POS system to handle various payment tenders and record sales
- Adhere to cash shortage and overage limits and loss control policies
- Assist customers in unloading and packing groceries
- Push or carry groceries to customers vehicles
- Collect shopping carts and return to designated areas
- Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals
- Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions
- Report accidents, illegal activities, and safety risks
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety among associates
- Utilize personal protective equipment and perform equipment safety checks
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
