Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals, salads, and a la carte items according to standardized recipes
- serve as a cashier to collect money and accurately record all food sales using a computerized point of sale system
- follow procedures for the exchange and collection of monies and assist in preparing deposits
- participate in training on federally reimbursable meals and food preparation requirements
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and utensils according to sanitation codes
- perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning dining areas
- provide effective communication and customer service to students, parents, and staff
