Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to forty pounds
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to use computers, scanners, copiers, and cafeteria equipment

Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals, salads, and a la-carte items
- prepare entrees, vegetables, and side dishes according to standardized recipes
- keep accurate documentation of food preparation
- serve as a cashier to collect money and record sales using a computerized point of sale system
- follow procedures for exchange and collection of monies and assist in deposit preparation
- participate in on-the-job training related to federally reimbursable meals and food preparation
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and utensils according to sanitation codes
- perform housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning dining areas
- comply with Wake County Public Schools Child Nutrition Handbook policies
- provide effective communication and customer service to students, parents, and staff
- perform other related duties as assigned
