Job Duties

  • Collects cash and charge tender
  • Accurately inputs transactions into register
  • Maintains adequate change in drawer through exchanges with main cashier
  • Completes cash count reconciliation after each meal period
  • Drops deposit into drop safe in the office
  • Prepares cafeteria survey for meal service in conjunction with food service workers
  • Assists customers as needed to provide exceptional service
  • Coordinates daily cafeteria procedures as necessary
  • Secures and opens doors and equipment at off/on meal times
  • Displays daily pricing on menu boards
  • Wipes tables in dining room and replenishes salt, pepper and sugar before meals
  • Maintains portion of cafeteria condiments
  • Brews coffee for daily services
  • Maintains excellent customer service
  • Maintains work area clean and organized
  • Attends mandatory inservice programs and education sessions
