The position available is for a Cashier, a crucial role within the store's operations. Responsibilities include scanning items, managing cash and card transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, processing returns and exchanges, and following store policies regarding age-restricted products. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Accurately scan and ring up customer items in a timely manner
  • handle customer payments, including cash, credit, and debit transactions, and provide correct change when necessary
  • process returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions in accordance with store policies
  • offer assistance to customers by answering questions, providing store information, and resolving any concerns
  • bag groceries in a way that protects items and makes them easy for customers to carry
  • maintain a clean and organized checkout counter, including ensuring that all items are neatly arranged
  • follow store policies for the sale of age-restricted items, such as alcohol or tobacco
  • keep track of the register drawer, ensuring it is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift
  • alert management to any register discrepancies or customer service issues that require attention
  • maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with customers and team members
  • follow all safety protocols and store policies to ensure a safe working environment
  • assist with other tasks as needed, such as restocking shelves or helping customers find products
