The Cashier at SNIPES plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by managing transactions efficiently at the point of sale (POS) and maintaining the store's overall appearance and stock levels. This position is part-time regular employment and requires a candidate who shares an enthusiasm for sneakers, streetwear, and youth culture. The role is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment, values teamwork, and is motivated to help drive sales and profitability. The Cashier is expected to demonstrate leadership through personal performance by meeting or exceeding store and individual sales goals, including key performance indicators such as average dollar sale, units per transaction, and conversion rates.

Additionally, the Cashier must use comprehensive selling skills and adhere to the company's customer service standards acquired through training programs. Building positive relationships with customers is essential, achieved through a friendly attitude and excellent service that encourages repeat business and brand loyalty. Active participation in sales contests, promotions, and incentive programs is part of the role, helping to contribute to the overall success of the store. The candidate must also maintain high standards of personal grooming and professional appearance, keep abreast of current promotions, handle multiple customers and tasks simultaneously, and ensure consistency in merchandise control and cash wrap management.

Effective communication with customers and store management is vital, particularly in relaying merchandise needs and feedback regarding the assortment availability. The Cashier also has a responsibility to demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, including answering telephone inquiries with courtesy. Job Duties

  • Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store and individual goals
  • Achieve or exceed all established goals including sales, hourly productivity, average dollar sale (ADS), units per transaction (UPT), conversion, charge accounts, contests, and other brand-specific KPIs
  • Have a complete working knowledge and use of selling skills and customer service standards as set forth in company training programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers through a friendly attitude and excellent customer service
  • Actively participate in all contests, promotions, and sales incentive programs and contribute to the store's achievements
  • Meet company standards for appearance, performance, knowledge, and personal grooming
  • Maintain an awareness of all sales promotions and effectively handle multiple customers and projects
  • Print merchandise tags timely
  • Understand and communicate customer merchandise needs and report to Store Management regarding merchandise assortment
  • Ensure consistent control of merchandise and maintain daily cash wrap
  • Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with customers and answer the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
