As a Cashier at Wingstop, you hold an essential role in the overall guest experience. You are responsible for managing customer interactions during the ordering process, whether guests are placing orders in person or over the phone. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work efficiently with front of house and back of house team members, and a strong commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction. The job demands quick thinking, multitasking under pressure, and a friendly demeanor to ensure guests receive their orders promptly and correctly.

Beyond taking orders, you will also be tasked with upselling menu items, maintaining in-depth knowledge of Wingstop’s menu offerings, sauces, promotions, and new items to assist guests effectively. Accuracy in cash handling is vital, as you will be processing various types of transactions including cash, credit cards, and gift cards. Additionally, your responsibilities include ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, assisting with restocking products, and abiding by safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe food environment.

This is a flexible, hourly position, with a pay range from $15.75 to $16.50 per hour, offering opportunities to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and late nights. Job Requirements

  • Experience using a computer and register (POS) system preferred
  • Food Handler Certification is required
  • Strong cash handling skills
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop
  • Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner whether by phone or in person
  • Place orders for guests in-person and over the phone
  • upsell and maintain knowledge of menu and sauce descriptions, along with new items and promotions
  • Be knowledgeable on menu offerings, sauce descriptions, and promotions to better assist guests in making order recommendations and answering questions
  • Monitor that all orders are ready within the quoted guest order readiness times
  • Verify the accuracy and presentation of all guest orders before delivery to guests to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Strong cash handling skills to accurately process cash, credit card and gift card transactions, and balance of register at end of shift
  • Assist in maintaining a clean workplace
  • keep the Front of House (FOH) clean and stocked

  • Restock products during periods of downtime or as directed
  • Practice safe food handling procedures by following all safety and sanitation guidelines
