This role is integral to ensuring customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. The company prides itself on a supportive work environment that values growth, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.\n\nAs a Cashier, you will be the face of the company, responsible for processing checkout and return transactions accurately and efficiently. You will monitor and maintain the self-checkout area, ensuring customers have a smooth and easy shopping experience. Beyond transactional duties, you will actively engage with customers by increasing your product and project knowledge to provide relevant information and identify opportunities for additional sales. Your role is crucial in minimizing shrinkage by adhering to all company policies and procedures.\n\nFor those stepping into the Head Cashier role, your responsibilities expand to include positioning and supporting other Cashiers to optimize service delivery. You will expedite price checks, approve point of sale transactions, markdowns, and manage transactions across various service points including mainline registers, self-checkouts, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental. Acting as the first level of escalation for customer issues, you will play a leadership role in providing guidance, coaching, and training to front end associates. This includes participating in new hire training and utilizing coaching tools to develop cashier skills and performance. The ideal candidate for the Head Cashier position will have at least one year of prior Cashier experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage customer interactions and support a team effectively. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience as a cashier preferred
basic math skills
ability to handle cash and operate point of sale equipment
excellent customer service orientation
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
effective communication skills
ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

Minimum one year of cashier experience preferred for head cashier role
strong customer service skills
ability to handle transactions accurately
effective communication and interpersonal skills
basic knowledge of retail operations and point of sale systems
leadership abilities for head cashier position
ability to train and coach others

Job Duties
