Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience as a cashier preferred
basic math skills
ability to handle cash and operate point of sale equipment
excellent customer service orientation
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
effective communication skills
ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

Minimum one year of cashier experience preferred for head cashier role
strong customer service skills
ability to handle transactions accurately
effective communication and interpersonal skills
basic knowledge of retail operations and point of sale systems
leadership abilities for head cashier position
ability to train and coach others

Job Duties

Process checkout and return transactions accurately and efficiently
monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
provide customers with product and project information to identify selling opportunities
follow company policies and procedures to minimize shrink
position and support cashiers during shifts
expedite price checks and approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervision, coaching, and training of front end associates
