Job Description
Mexico Ceaty is a dynamic new dining concept that offers a unique culinary experience blending innovative cuisine with exceptional hospitality. As part of the esteemed Jason Dady Restaurant Group, which has shaped San Antonio's culinary scene for over two decades, Mexico Ceaty stands out as the group's most ambitious project to date. Situated inside the Shops at Rivercenter on the San Antonio River Walk, the second most visited destination in Texas after The Alamo, this new establishment provides a vibrant atmosphere where guests enjoy premium hospitality and attention to every detail. The restaurant emphasizes a fast-paced, friendly, and highly accurate counter service model, redefining what it means to deliver quality in a quick-service environment.
Joining Mexico Ceaty as a Counter Service Team Member means playing a key role in creating an unforgettable guest experience. This position demands fast, friendly, and accurate service, three critical elements to excel in the role. While counter service might imply a quick in-and-out dining experience, Mexico Ceaty insists there is no compromise on quality or guest engagement. Employees will greet guests enthusiastically with eye contact and energy even during the busiest periods, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.
One of the primary responsibilities is taking orders precisely and entering them promptly into the Toast POS system without delay. Thorough knowledge of the full menu for the assigned station is essential; team members need to be well-versed in ingredients, potential allergens, combo options, and daily specials to confidently answer any guest inquiries and communicate effectively with the kitchen. Handling various payment methods accurately—whether cash, card, or mobile payments—is critical, as is maintaining clear and unambiguous communication regarding any order modifications or special requests.
The role also involves keeping the assigned station clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready at all times, ensuring smooth operations and positive impressions. Team members will call out order names clearly and confidently when food is ready for pickup to streamline the service flow. Additionally, actively managing guest lines and interactions by informing guests about wait times, explaining menu options, and guiding their decisions exemplifies the proactive approach required.
The culture at Mexico Ceaty promotes ownership and accountability—employees are encouraged to immediately acknowledge and correct any order errors, maintaining professionalism and courtesy regardless of the pressures of a busy line. The ideal team member remains approachable and calm, always prioritizing a warm guest experience over rushing or abruptness.
Success in this role is measured by zero order errors during the shift, rapid and smooth movement of guest lines, clear and accurate communication with the kitchen, and precise cash drawer balancing. The Counter Service Team Member contributes directly to the exceptional service standards that Mexico Ceaty and the Jason Dady Restaurant Group are known for, supporting a workplace dedicated to diversity, quality, and culinary innovation.
