Within King Soopers, the role of a Cashier/Checker is crucial in ensuring outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service. Job Duties

  • Being visible and actively greeting, engaging and assisting customers
  • Processing customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons and checkout procedures according to company policy
  • Understanding and adhering to the company's limits on cash shortages and/or overages and working honestly to control loss
  • Adhering to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
  • Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Following established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
