- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
- Ability to use Point of Sale system and handle various payment transactions
- Understanding of food safety guidelines

- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Honesty and integrity in handling sensitive information
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently through the check lane
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Maintain adherence to company limits on cash shortages or overages and work honestly to control loss
- Follow policies and procedures for restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations and reinforce store safety programs
- Practice preventive maintenance on equipment and report issues
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Follow all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
