The role of Cashier at Habit Burger & Grill is a part-time position offering a pay range of $20 to $22 per hour. Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in related food service cashier position preferred
  • Food Handler’s Card/Certification may be required according to local and/or state regulations
  • ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
  • able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds, but have the ability to lift up to 55 pounds
  • able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • this position will involve some repetitive motion tasks
  • this position requires manual dexterity
  • auditory and visual skills
  • and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • take customer’s orders and punch them into the restaurant POS system
  • provide customers with information on menu items, ingredients, and prices
  • process credit card and cash payments and accurately tender change
  • relay customer’s order to the kitchen
  • control, organize, monitor and maintain appropriate levels in cash drawer
  • handle customer’s requests and complaints
  • maintain cleanliness and stocking levels of dining areas
  • ensure that the service area is kept stocked, clean, and organized at all times
  • assist in food portioning and preparation tasks
  • comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
