Job Requirements
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, balancing and lifting up to 40 pounds
- work environment is primarily indoors in an office or greenhouse that is not climate-controlled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- one to two years cash handling experience, preferably in a retail environment
- combination of education and/or experience to meet the qualifications listed above
Job Duties
- Provides a pleasant experience for customers through friendly customer relations and the technical use of cash registers
- performs duties associated with opening and closing the assigned cash drawer
- completes Daily Log Sheet
- processes existing tax-exempt and landscaper discount customers
- reports to work on a regular and timely basis
- coordinates with sales helper section as needed
- embraces the company culture and conducts self in a professional manner
- greets and assists customers
- directs customers to merchandise locations
- answers customer questions regarding merchandise
- keeps Head Cashier informed of problems, issues, and concerns
- completes special projects and performs other duties as requested
