This part-time regular position as a SNIPES Cashier offers an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and culturally rich organization that values energy, passion, and excellence in customer service. The role places you at the frontline of the customer experience, responsible for handling transactions efficiently and accurately, managing stock and replenishment, and maintaining the overall appearance and ambiance of the store to meet brand standards. The cashier is essential not only in executing sales but in driving the store’s profitability by achieving or exceeding sales targets and other key performance indicators such as average dollar sale (ADS), units per transaction (UPT), and customer conversion rates.

In this role, you will develop meaningful relationships with customers, enhancing their shopping experience through excellent service and a friendly attitude. Active participation in store contests, promotions, and incentive programs is expected, making this much more than a transactional position. There is a strong emphasis on professional appearance, product knowledge, and customer communication to ensure the SNIPES brand ethos is consistently demonstrated throughout every customer interaction. The cashier will also be responsible for multiple operational tasks including maintaining merchandise control, managing the cash wrap daily, and supporting the store management with inventory insights to align the store’s merchandise assortment with community needs.

SNIPES values candidates who bring enthusiasm for the brand, strong communication skills, adaptability, self-motivation, and a team-oriented mindset. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays is required, as well as the ability to stand for extended periods and handle light lifting. Previous retail experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as SNIPES provides training to ensure proficiency in selling skills and customer service standards. Job Duties

  • demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store and individual goals
  • achieve or exceed all established goals including sales, hourly productivity, average dollar sale (ADS), units per transaction (UPT), conversion (if applicable), charge accounts and contests
  • have a complete working knowledge and use of selling skills and customer service standards as set forth in company training programs
  • develop and maintain relationships with customers through a friendly attitude and excellent customer service
  • actively participate in all contests, promotions, and sales incentive programs
  • meet company standards for appearance, performance, knowledge and personal grooming
  • maintain an awareness of all sales promotions and effectively handle multiple customers and projects
  • understand and communicate customer merchandise needs and communicate with store management regarding merchandise assortment
  • ensure consistent control of merchandise and maintain cash wrap daily as directed
  • demonstrate professionalism when dealing with customers and answer the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
