The Head Cashier takes on a leadership position by positioning Cashiers efficiently, expediting price checks, approving transactions, and markdowns to minimize shrinkage and maximize customer satisfaction. This position also serves as the first level of escalation for customer issues, requiring strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude. An essential part of the role involves supporting the cashier team through supervision, coaching, and training, which includes participating in the onboarding of new Cashiers and utilizing various tools to develop staff capabilities. With a preference for candidates having over one year of experience as a Cashier, this role is ideal for someone passionate about leadership and customer service excellence in a retail environment.
