The position available is that of a Head Cashier, a pivotal role within our front-end operations team. As a Head Cashier, you will be entrusted with not only performing cashier duties but also taking on leadership responsibilities that enhance the overall customer experience. This role requires someone who excels in customer service, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and is capable of supervising and supporting other cashiers to maintain smooth transactions and efficient service. The Head Cashier acts as the first point of escalation for customer issues and provides guidance and training to new and existing front-end staff.

Working as a Head Cashier, you will process checkout and return transactions with accuracy and speed. You will monitor and maintain the self-checkout area to ensure it is functioning properly and that customers have a seamless experience. Your role extends to proactively seeking product and project knowledge to help customers better and to identify opportunities that could lead to additional sales. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage is a critical part of your responsibilities.

As a leader among the cashier team, you will also be responsible for positioning cashiers, expediting price checks, and approving various point of sale transactions and markdowns across multiple registers including mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental. Supporting and coaching other front-end associates is an essential component of this position. You will participate in training new cashiers and use all available tools to develop their skills continuously.
