The role being offered is a full-time retail associate position reporting directly to the Store Manager. The associate must be comfortable multitasking in a busy store environment, cooperating effectively with other team members, and contributing to a friendly, safe, and clean environment for customers and employees alike.

Responsibilities include operating point of sale (POS) systems including cash registers and fuel consoles accurately and efficiently, managing all types of payment transactions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and company policies, especially in handling products such as alcohol, tobacco, and lottery tickets which require verification of eligibility. The candidate will engage in suggestive selling and actively participate in promotional campaigns designed to drive store sales and customer satisfaction.

Operational tasks are also a vital part of the role. These include maintaining cleanliness both inside and outside the store by performing regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring restrooms are clean and well stocked. Inventory duties involve receiving deliveries, sorting, stocking shelves perfectly to prevent any empty spaces, and inspecting perishable items to maintain product freshness and safety.

The associate will also prepare hot food items and beverages such as coffee following set procedures to ensure quality and safety. Working different shifts might require tasks such as deep cleaning during night shifts, including cleaning drains and maintaining food and beverage machines. Additionally, safety procedures must be strictly followed, including participating in violence prevention and emergency protocols.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, exhibit excellent computer skills with familiarity in POS systems like PDI Enterprise, and bring strong interpersonal skills. The ability to learn quickly, work independently with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively in English is essential. Physical capabilities include standing or walking for an entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and being able to bend, stoop, kneel, and use hand-eye coordination throughout the day.
