Job Description

The role opens up the opportunity to work as a Cashier, a frontline position critical to the customer shopping experience. Cashiers are responsible for processing various transactions including checkout and returns while ensuring accuracy, speed, and customer friendliness. Additionally, they monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, ensuring that all systems function smoothly for self-service customers. The position requires Cashiers to possess product knowledge to provide relevant information and recognize selling opportunities effectively. Head Cashiers play an elevated role by overseeing cashier positioning, expediting price checks, approving sales transactions and markdowns across multiple service points such as mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They also act as the first level of escalation for customer issues and support the supervision and training of other front-end staff by coaching and developing newer Cashiers. The role typically requires at least one year of experience in cashier duties, demonstrating a solid understanding of the responsibilities and customer service standards expected at the store. Job Duties

  • Process checkout transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area

  • Expedite price checks and approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns
  • Escalate customer issues and support other front-end associates
  • Participate in training and coaching of new Cashiers
