The position of Cashier at Sodexo is a pivotal role focused on providing exceptional customer service through efficient and accurate transaction processing. Serving primarily at the East Texas Baptist University location, this full-time role offers a pay range of $12 to $13 per hour. The Cashier acts as the first point of contact for customers, delivering a warm, friendly welcome and maintaining a smile to foster a positive atmosphere. This role requires open availability to accommodate varying shifts and hours, with more details to be provided during the interview process.
In this role, the cashier will operate the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions for food, goods, or services accurately and efficiently. Beyond transactional duties, the cashier may support operational activities such as setup, maintaining inventory of supplies and products, and assisting with cleanup to ensure a smooth and safe environment. The position may also require handling non-routine cash functions, demonstrating trustworthiness and attention to detail. Reliability in attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts is essential.

- Successful completion of high school or equivalent
- willingness to work varying shifts including days and hours
- ability to operate cash register/POS systems accurately
- strong interpersonal skills for customer interaction
- commitment to punctuality and attendance
- ability to perform physical tasks related to setup and cleanup
- legal eligibility to work in the United States
