The role of the Cashier/Checker at Pick 'N Save is vital in delivering outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service. This position involves being visible on the shop floor, actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers to ensure they feel valued and appreciated. The Cashier/Checker is responsible for processing customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons while adhering to company policies and procedures.

In addition to transactional duties, the Cashier/Checker plays a key role in maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages repeat business. This involves adhering to food safety regulations, enforcing guidelines on restricted sales items such as alcohol and tobacco, reporting pricing discrepancies, and participating in loss prevention efforts. The position also requires collaboration with team members to maintain safety compliance and equipment maintenance, reinforcing a cooperative and safety-conscious workplace.

Effective communication skills are essential, as the Cashier/Checker interacts with diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Job Duties
