Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions efficiently and accurately through the POS system
- handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on restricted sale items and cash handling limits
- report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay current with promotions, ads, and food safety regulations
- comply with safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- inspect and maintain equipment by notifying management of repairs
- create a welcoming environment by answering product questions and providing assistance
- adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
