The Retail Associate position requires a dynamic individual capable of multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining superior customer service. The role involves accurate operation of point-of-sale systems including cash register and fuel consoles, precise money handling, and performing various sales transactions such as credit card payments, coupon redemption, tobacco, alcohol, and lottery sales in accordance with company policies. The associate is responsible for checking customer identification and engaging actively in sales promotions and suggestive selling to foster strong customer relationships and contribute to store growth.

Additionally, the associate holds responsibilities related to store safety and cleanliness. They take necessary measures to preserve a safe work environment, maintain tidiness inside and outside the store, oversee food preparation aligned with health standards, and ensure that all equipment and merchandise areas are sanitized and well stocked. Duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and restroom maintenance are essential to upholding store standards. They also assist in inventory management by receiving product deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing regular fresh food inspections to ensure product quality and freshness.

The role offers variety, including working at the cash register, assisting as a barista during designated shifts, and performing specialized tasks during night shifts like deep cleaning of the store and equipment.
