Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 pounds
- Must successfully complete Smashburger training program
- Ability to work variable hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Adherence to Smashburger uniform policy
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures set by Smashburger and employment regulations
- Proof of authorized U.S. work documents
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
Job Qualifications
- No previous experience necessary as skills are built through Smashburger training
- Must successfully complete Smashburger training program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude
- Basic cash handling ability and attention to detail
- Knowledge of menu items and ability to make recommendations
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety standards
- Integrity and reliability in following company policies
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile and welcome both new and repeat customers each visit
- Promote a fun and positive work environment that encourages teamwork
- Communicate effectively with cooks and managers in a busy restaurant setting
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items to suggest meals and answer customer questions
- Verify guest orders for accuracy, process POS transactions, manage to-go orders, and follow cash handling procedures
- Visit tables after food delivery to ensure guests have everything needed and that their experience is perfect
- Adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guests to complete surveys upon each visit
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining areas, and restrooms using approved cleaning products
- Follow company cash policies to minimize losses from theft or shortages
- Upsell menu items through thoughtful suggestions
- Foster a safe work environment by following all personal and food safety and security standards
- Demonstrate integrity and responsibility even when unsupervised
