The available position is a Full-Time Retail Associate role reporting directly to the Store Manager. This hourly position is not a managerial role but plays a critical part in daily store operations and overall customer satisfaction. The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service in line with G&M’s corporate standards and management’s instructions. The role requires multitasking and teamwork to maintain a positive and safe working environment. Key responsibilities include operating the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy, handling diverse payment methods including cash, credit cards, manufacturer coupons, and vendor checks, and ensuring compliance with regulations for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales. Additionally, the Retail Associate contributes to sales promotions and suggestive selling efforts to enhance customer relations and meet sales goals.

Beyond customer interaction, the role involves various store maintenance tasks such as preparing hot food items according to prescribed guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the store inside and out, managing inventory through receiving deliveries and stocking shelves, and performing regular safety checks. Working different shifts may include barista duties like brewing fresh coffee, maintaining food supplies, and conducting thorough cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning restrooms and cleaning shop equipment. The Retail Associate also plays a role in loss prevention by adhering to company policies on robbery and violence prevention and participating actively in team-building and sales-enhancement activities.

This position requires a candidate who is dependable, attentive to detail, and capable of following safety procedures while delivering friendly customer service. Employees must maintain a neat personal appearance, wear the company uniform and name tag, and be prepared to work various shifts as needed within the home store and other district stores.
