The role available is that of a Head Cashier, a leadership position designed to support and guide the cashier team. The Head Cashier supervises and manages checkout operations, including price checks, approvals of Point of Sale transactions, markdowns, and overseeing various specialty registers such as Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. This role is vital in handling first-level escalations on customer issues, maintaining store policies, and minimizing shrinkage through strict adherence to procedures. The Head Cashier also plays an instrumental part in team development by assisting in training new cashiers and coaching existing associates to enhance their skills and knowledge. This position demands proactive involvement in the store's daily operations with a strong focus on customer interaction and team leadership. The preferred candidate for this role will have at least one year of cashier experience, showcasing a foundation of operational know-how and customer service skills that can be leveraged to improve team performance and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of cashier experience
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of cashier experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle transaction approvals and markdowns
  • Experience in supervising or coaching staff is desirable
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of retail policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Process checkout and return transactions
