Job Description

The hiring establishment operates within the retail sector, specifically focusing on serving customers in a fast-paced store environment. This company is committed to upholding high standards of customer service, safety, and cleanliness to create an inviting and efficient shopping atmosphere. The company values teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail, making sure that both customers and employees experience a friendly and secure environment. The establishment employs skilled staff who are trained to use point of sale systems effectively and manage transactions accurately, including handling cash, credit card payments, and various service-related transactions such as the sale of tobacco, alcohol, lottery, and fast food items. This employer offers a full-time position under hourly compensation and reports directly to the Store Manager. Importantly, this role is a non-management position, designed for individuals who thrive in operational and customer-facing tasks while supporting the broader store team.

The role involves extensive customer service responsibilities and operational tasks aimed at maintaining store integrity. The employee must multitask efficiently within a team to ensure that safety protocols are followed, store cleanliness is maintained, and merchandise is properly stocked and displayed. As a frontline team member, the employee will be expected to operate the POS system with precision to process sales and handle money responsibly. Additional responsibilities include preparation of hot food items, brewing fresh coffee, maintaining condiment bars, and monitoring fresh food availability according to store procedures. The position also requires regular cleaning of store areas such as floors, restrooms, and various equipment to uphold sanitation standards. Employees are expected to participate actively in sales promotions and uphold the company's codes of conduct concerning the sale of restricted products like alcohol and tobacco.

This role demands a versatile individual who can functional multitasking — managing transactions, stocking shelves, cleaning, and customer engagement — all while maintaining a neat personal appearance with company uniform and name tag. The employee will also assist with receiving product deliveries by safely moving and sorting merchandise using proper lifting techniques. Regular inspections to ensure product freshness and proper shelf rotation are critical aspects of the job. With an emphasis on safety and compliance, employees adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws applicable to retail operations. This role further requires flexibility in working hours and locations within the retail district when necessary.

Overall, this position is ideal for a motivated individual with excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and the capability to manage multiple duties simultaneously in a retail environment. The employer supports employee well-being by offering comprehensive benefits, including fully employer-paid medical and life insurance plans, dental and vision coverage, and 401(k) options. This job opportunity represents a stable, full-time career path within the retail industry, with a focus on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and employee safety and development.
